@archer_uwu shader mods like Iris hopefully will actually not cause performance drops like they currently do. downside, shaders will need to be rewritten (or simply compiled) because Vulkan can't directly read raw GLSL files, it needs to be compiled into a SPIR-V binary.

downsides: - virtually every mod will be broken for a bit - really really old pcs will lose support upsides: - the game will run like 4000x better - will have full modern graphics support - will allow for crazy advanced shaders - densely populated areas/builds run better
