I agree with some of Billie Eilish's opinions but I also think she's young and extremist. It's a very strange thing to hear her say both "no one is illegal on stolen land" and "eating men is inherently wrong", because the same people are being represented in both statements.

I'm all about people having their beliefs, even if they don't align with mine. That's kinda what makes life great. But forcing your beliefs on kids, instilling fear in them, that feels so beyond crazy to me.

People have learned a few psychological buzzwords on social media,like "gaslighting," "narcissist," "boundaries," and "toxic", and now they use them to run away from normal human conflict. Sometimes your partner isn't a "toxic narcissist violating your boundaries"; sometimes they are just annoyed, having a bad day, and you are actually the one who was wrong. We have weaponized therapy language to ensure we never have to apologize or compromise.

People do unspeakable things to friends, family, etc. and then be like oh you posted about it or you told so and so…. SO! People are allowed to talk about it their experiences and if you’re ashamed, learn to treat people better!

If there's one thing I've learned from documentaries and reading things like this and Vani Hari posts, it's that EVERYONE is trying to sell you something. Amber is calling out Big Pharma for selling pills, so that she can sell her own pills instead. It's EVERYONE.

Not everyone should be allowed in your home, and even fewer people should know where you live.

You know what always tugs at my mind with regards to #ALR is how much has been glazed over about her mom's history of violence. Don't get me wrong, I fully believe people are redeemable (for the most part), but I don't remember seeing much about that bit of lore.
