One of those when it rains it pours type weeks I have lost so much footage to the power going off for hours

Sorry for the gaps in this weeks video coverage I’m trying to get things back to consistency but the power grid has been out nonstop for the last week and I finally ran out of backlog video to keep floating. Some bangers coming this weekend though if the lights stay on!

@lachiemx Oh yea humane services it’s a branch of the county animal control that deals with wildlife in places it shouldn’t be. Never had to use it before but I’m glad it existed like wtf do you do with a hostile stabduck in your yard

Was a screeching in my back yard at 2am, and a western grebe had somehow gotten stuck in my yard. Humane services showed up to take him back to the marsh around 3am. Pretty gorgeous california waterfowl. Also I'm tired he shoulda got stuck at like 2pm.

To answer the inevitable "Why didn't he just fly away" Grebes can only takeoff from water. They can't pick up enough speed on dry land to launch which is why they almost never leave the water if they can help it.

Mean as hell though, that beak is like a knife cuts through just about anything. Humane service officer had to gear up in like a leather stab suit to pick him up.

@NomadsRespite Yea it’s a process I lost like 80 pounds in my early 20s just gotta keep at it. Portion control and diet will do 90% of the work after you plateau on working out deficits
