#OnThisDay in 1961, Sir William Lyons unveiled the Jaguar E-Type to the press in Geneva. The E-Type was so popular, Sir William issued an instruction to Norman Dewis to drive the first E-Type roadster, 77 RW, from Coventry to Geneva in a dramatic 17-hour overnight run.
