This is the first time I’ve ever bet on horse racing, much less any sport and watching it back makes me realize there’s so many factors instead of just the horses and their records and the tracks to look at. This shit is hella serious.

@28ozPorterhouse For a late surger like renegade being in innermost lane is a heavy disadvantage. Gotta make a move to the outside though his pace was matched and overpowered by 5 moving to the inside. But having the worst start and still making a finish like that is an impressive feat

@Sploots His fault imo - secure the rail out the gate as the #1 poll position, don’t try and get cute - he tried, his first move was toward the outside and all other horses, and I’m not sure why. In a race decided by a neck to neck finish u could easily say this is why he lost 🤷🏻
