Assuming you acquire AJ Brown the highest ceiling top 3 roto is AJB, Doubs, and KDub If that means you should get value via draft picks for Boutte then so be it imo

@MJRodnick 2nd and whatever is perfectly fine by me '27 1st is a hard no, especially when you dont know how the season would go and where the pick would land, we do have a tougher schedule and need more pieces on the roster, its perfectly fair to forsee a worse season than last

And let's be honest: 1. The 31st pick in 2027 will be more valuable than the 31st pick in 2026. 2. I'm a fan first but also a realist. Odds of the Patriots having the 31st pick again are TBD. There is a WHOLE season to play.

@SpookyBOS They just want the name, they’re not willing to engage in a fair and sensible discussion of what actually makes sense or what the threshold is for where it makes sense

A.J. is still a very talented player, and he’d help this team a lot in 2026 (which is very important). At the same time, I think people overstate his long-term value, and I expect the knee to be an issue down the stretch. That’s why there’s a price limit for me. I’d be thrilled to trade for him at the right cost. I would not give up a first-round pick, because I don’t think his future outlook justifies that. But if the price stays below that, I’m all in. I’m walking on a line between being excited about adding a player who clearly raises your ceiling now while still wanting to be responsible and realistic about the future. If you can get this done without giving up a first, I’m ecstatic. If you can’t, I’m disappointed, but I’ll still thoroughly enjoy the entertainment.
