One of the things in my heart before the season ends is to highlight all Shooting Stars players and staff contributions to our season which we have survived relegation. On today's edition, I will be speaking about Qamar Adegoke: When I resumed as the Sporting Director of Shooting Stars in June 2025, we desperately needed forward players and we found Qamar Adegoke. First day in Ibadan, even before he signed the final draft of his contract alongside his representative, he was already engaging himself in a private session. I was impressed with his first action, we spoke and I was optimistic that I had signed a top professional. I recalled his representative said to me; "SD, you will enjoy my boy. Just give him time to settle down." Qamar is a top professional and a hard worker. He had to face some challenges in the first round, I called him into a private meeting and I told him; "Qamar, Ibadan people love you. But you need to score for them." BOOM!!! He started scoring and he became one of the fans' favourites. He's one of the top 5 most impactful players this second round. In a low-scoring league like the NPFL, four goals in away games and 9 goals for a player with fewer minutes is impressive. If Eric Chelle is considering inviting NPFL players for the Unity Cup in London, Qamar Adegoke should be on the list.
