If someone was geeky enough to count how many medals #TeamEurope would actually get if the EU was 1 country, therefore also following the qualification rules of being 1 country, that would be great so people stop sharing that EU-patriotic non-sense of Team Europe medals.

Today in Strasbourg, MEPs celebrate #InternationalWomensDay with two football players and 2023 World Cup champions, Ivana Andrés and Alba Redondo, representing @SEFutbolFem. It is a great occasion to remind about the women’s rights, also in sport and EP work in this field.

@Ibangarciadb joined today Chief Medical Officer, Dr Zoran Bahtijarević to support a health campaign by @UEFA and @ERC_resus on ‘Get trained, save lives’. The aim is to educate 100,000 football fans in basic CPR skills and train teams, officials, volunteers and staff @EURO2024DE

In this regard, it is desirable a higher EU involvement and stronger policy framework to protect the game, and we are committed in the European Parliament to work all together in interest of football and millions of fans. @EUCourtPress

We take note of and respect CJEU ruling on the Super League case. We continue to support the European Sport Model based on solidarity and pyramid organisation. Football is about sport and community, the competition should stay within this frame, not only follow economic interests
