Is it impossible to run a large sports enterprise and not be controlled by financial interests? Even the NCAA which is a nonprofit organization is making financially motivated decisions clearly degrading the experience for viewers.

How are sports executives so disconnected from the actual entertainment product that fans want? From a viewing perspective, no fan wants to see March madness team pool increased. It devalues the achievement of making it in to the post season.
