Our Managing Director, Eng. Joselynne R. Rwabwogo (@MDofUEDCL), accompanied by members of the UEDCL Senior Management Team, joined the Chief Executive Officer of the Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited (@uetcl ), Eng. Richard Matsiko, on a joint project evaluation visit to assess the progress of the USD 83.3 million Greater Kampala Metropolitan Transmission System Improvement Project. The strategic infrastructure project is designed to strengthen the quality, reliability and resilience of electricity supply across the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area, benefiting customers in Kampala City, Wakiso, Mukono and Mpigi Districts. Once completed, the project will enhance network capacity to meet growing electricity demand, reduce supply constraints and support economic growth across Uganda's busiest commercial and industrial hub. #UEDCLinService #LightingUpYourWorld #KampalaMetroProject

The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Kasese District, Lt. Joe Walusimbi, officiated the groundbreaking ceremony for the refurbishment of the Nkenda–Ishaka distribution line, marking the commencement of a UGX 16 billion investment aimed at strengthening electricity supply reliability across Kasese, Rubirizi and Bushenyi districts. The project will see the refurbishment of the Nkenda–Kasese and Nkenda–Ishaka 33kV distribution feeders, which have experienced recurring outages since 2022, impacting electricity consumers and economic activity across the region. #UEDCLinService #LightingUpYourWorld
