I’ve been playing around with some #’s this week, trying to find some college metrics that correlate to WR success at the NFL level. I combined a few metrics- YRR, YAC/R, and Missed Tackles Forced per Catch. Other metrics factored in were aDoT and Route Running Grade (PFF). ⤵️

Sources: The #Chiefs are signing former #Dolphins CB Kader Kohou. Kohou missed all of last season with a knee injury, but has 38 career starts, 190 tackles, and 3 INTs. More versatility in KC’s secondary.

If this is truly the end of Kansas City’s spending in free agency it would be hard to give it anything better than like a B-, secondary is gutted but will be fixed, WR core is still really bad, TE room is Kelce and a few non NFL players, edge room is GK and a few non NFL players, LB core is really bad, just way to many needs to hit still with legit options that were still available in which they decided not to pursue

I love it. Veach and Co. are finally being aggressive which has been sorely missed the past 3 years. Trading All Pro Mcduffie for more picks and now signing the best FA RB on the market; Veach seems hard set on fixing as many holes as possible. Great start to the offseason but still have to nail the drafts

I have no issue with the haul we got from the Mcduffie trade. I think it was a good move from Veach. However, I don’t like the process the front office is following. We keep trading away blue chip players at premium positions(Hill, Mcduffie) and paying JAG’s at non-premium positions like Bolton, Karlaftis, Gray among many others. You can’t keep doing that. At some point you’re going to need bring in elite, top tier talent whether that’s via draft, trade or free agency and keep them.

@GandalfStaff My only optimism is the last time this team felt like it had dog mentality and aggressive playcalling was when EB was around. Hopefully that returns. He seems less likely to fall in line to whatever stale concepts Andy proposes compared to others in AR’s tree.

Look, if bringing EB somehow takes the offense out of the pits of hell, so be it. I will gladly say I was wrong. But if I’m right and nothing changes, I will be insufferable about firing Andy until he’s gone. No more second chances with the walrus. I don’t care what he did for the franchise. He’s basically putting his entire job on EB being his savior. It’s a bold strategy, Cotton.
