The University of Nebraska completely debunks out the misleading narrative on cow burps & methane on climate change:
“They have not accounted for the capture part, they only account for methane being released. Carbon capture in soil and grass - helped out by cow grazing and manure - can far outweigh the emissions from cattle. Grasslands can take up more CO2 and carbon in the soil and plants, that offsets the CO2 that cattle are producing but it also offsets the methane.
@JarrodAmery If you were to sell off a test then the silage would win every time. Have made plenty of silage as wrapped sausage 2 high 6x4x3. Worth a try with long range forecast as will keep for a long time wrapped
@JarrodAmery Silage is a great product but limited market as it is an ‘unknown’. It is one of the down falls of the hay/silage market that your worst hay will make the most money as it will sit there until a shortage..
Has anyone put beans into silage before? I reckon I’d have 5-6t/ha dry matter but not so confident in the potential grain yield with 30 degree days & most pods having so far to go. Any thoughts?
Big shoutout to @dunnkat74 for keeping me alive for another 12 months, even got to go to the nsw Supreme Court. Take that all you teachers at the Swan Hill Tech. I knew I’d prove you right 🖕
@stationmum101@Warwick_Long Yep. This bloke is pschopath former offender. Lots of others turn out to be drowning not waving.
I can't stand 1 flystruck sheep -it's inconceivable to have 2500 preventable deaths!
The court was told numerous sheep were found emaciated, fly-struck and unable to stand during the searches.
DEECA euthanased 1,747 sheep and found 713 sheep dead on Mr Ralston's property during the three months.
Only 120 sheep survived.

@gmjochum Do you do soil tests to determine plant available moisture of your soils to calibrate the probes? Only 47mm for the year so far. Hoping for a wet finish.
My crop intelligence weather station and soil moisture probe has already lowered my canola yield by 14.6% and there is only a slight chance of showers in the forecast, we’re only at 25% of normal precipitation since May 1
@gmjochum Our soils are obviously different but we found that there needs to be an amount of moisture present before plants can access it knowing that makes a data more relevant.
