Donald Trump has added Nick Stewart, who takes a hardline stance on Iran, from the pro-Israel lobbying think tank FDD Action, to the negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program
Stewart supports the tactic of tough pressure (sanctions + possible military use of force).
The American negotiating team includes D. Vance, Jared Kushner, and Steve Whitcoff.

The head of the Central Bank of Iran, Abdolnasser Hemmati, from night-time Tehran:
We too are working day and night to ensure that people do not face problems with their livelihoods, medicines, and essential items.
If God wills it, with the support of the people, we will be able to do even more for them.
Good things will happen. They shouldn't worry. Our country will prevail.

IRGC Strengthens Its Control Over Maritime Routes
On Monday, the IRGC announced a new operational map formalizing its military jurisdiction over critical sections of the Strait of Hormuz. A defined "control zone", published by the Tasnim News Agency, is limited to two strategic maritime lines: the first connects the western tip of Qeshm Island with Umm Al Quwain in the UAE, and the second extends from Kuh-e Mobarak to the waters south of Fujairah. This statement is a direct challenge to the US military blockade of Iranian ports, which has been in effect since April 13 following the failure of peace talks in Islamabad.
The current "dual blockade" - where American forces are targeting Iranian shipping and the IRGC is restricting movement in the Persian Gulf as a whole - has caused serious damage to global energy supplies since the start of the US and Israeli war against Iran on February 28. Although Donald Trump recently extended the ceasefire at Pakistan's request, the IRGC warned that any foreign military presence in these newly defined zones would be met with an immediate response, further diminishing hopes for a prolonged truce.

The USA will supply Israel with its first refueling aircraft
The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that the first of six Boeing KC-46 refueling aircraft, named Gideon, successfully completed its first test flight in the USA. Scheduled for delivery around May 27, this aircraft is the first in a fleet worth $500 million, funded by American aid to replace the outdated Re'em refueling aircraft used in recent aggressions against Iran.
The ministry confirmed that the aircraft will be equipped with specialized Israeli systems to ensure air superiority and extend its operational range in remote areas of the Middle East.
The acquisition of the KC-46 is part of a large-scale ten-year military modernization, which includes the purchase of two additional squadrons of F-35 and F-15IA fighter jets from the USA.
Despite the ceasefire in the region, the arrival of these aircraft signals a permanent shift towards long-term strategic dominance, supported by the industrial potential of the USA.

CNN, citing a member of the Foreign Policy Advisory Committee of the Chinese Foreign Ministry: "Trump now wants to close the Iranian issue as quickly as possible. If the US had been up to the task, Trump would have had a much stronger leverage for pressure. But now it's obvious that the US failed to contain Iran; therefore, their positions in the negotiations with China have weakened."

"All ships should learn a lesson from the 40-day experience of war and not pay for the stupidity of Americans."
He emphasized: "In addition to firing on American warships, Iran has prepared other scenarios, which it will resort to if necessary."
