Hi, Spuffy fans and friends! While we are maintaining our Twitter presence for now, we're very likely to start shifting to other platforms toward the beginning of the year.

In November, we announced we'd likely be shifting off Twitter in 2025. Now, at the end of 2024, we're making it official. Find us on Insta, Threads, or Bsky. EF members are also welcome to join us on Discord! It's been a blast conversing with you all. Hope to see you elseweb!

The year might not have been perfect, but there were definitely highlights. We look forward to taking another trip around the sun with our Spuffy friends. Stay safe, make sure you have a designated driver, and grab someone to smooch (consensually).

@SpuffyFields That’s why those lessons often don’t turn out to be such a good idea when viewed in retrospect.

24 years ago today, Into the Woods aired, and Riley left this show, sadly not forever but almost forever. We got Spike looking more concerned about causing Buffy hurt by showing him her boyfriend's extracurriculars than Riley was about actually betraying her.

@SpuffyFields That’s one way of looking at it. Another is that Buffy kept him at an emotional remove, taking for granted she could use him as as necessary and then send him away as needed. She never even told him about Dawn while she immediately confided in Giles

Riley left, in part, because he felt Buffy wasn't letting him support her the way HE wanted to support her. Not the way support would have actually helped her. Here, Spike is holding a sword in place so that Buffy can climb on top of the RV and do some hero shit. Just saying.
