Wemby’s so good at keeping blocks in play, he either just missed the top of the backboard or made a special point to remind Deni to not come into the paint.

Blazers have gone seven minutes - and counting - with their lone scores being on FTs or offensive boards. Rebounding is going to be a key factor for Spurs the whole playoffs - their initial defense is elite, but harder to get multiple stops or stop people at the line.

Oh yeah, in this scenario the young, incredible defender (Ibaka) to round out the core would be Carter Bryant.

Could be an unpopular comparison - or one already widely made - but this Spurs core reminds me so much of the early 2010s Thunder: Wemby/KD, Steph/Russ, Harper/Harden. Obviously those are 3 MVPs so not easy to replicate, but gonna be fun to see how SA keeps this together.

Interesting way to describe these plays. There’s another train of thought- instead of thinking frame-by-frame analysis proves both calls are right, it also could mean in last 24 hours that people realized the first call was wrong. Just a different way to look at it.

Great side by side comparison. I don't love it, but there is a difference as Caruso had jump stopped and stopped his vector towards Booker just before contact. And with frame by frame review, we can see Deni is still (very slightly) moving towards Fox

From panic button to realizing the Spurs have had double-digit, fourth-quarter leads in all three games. Great bounce back and finish tonight!

Spurs deciding to make one last push for Wemby to win MVP tonight it seems.

Biggest takeaway for me - and maybe for Spurs too - is Wemby played the full 4Q, all of OT and finished 3Q too. He looked gassed. Gotta find a short window of break somewhere - not sure that 6:30 timeout will be enough. He’s special but he’s not Superman (yet).

Here comes the “they aren’t ready for the playoffs” hot takes. Be warned. Nevermind the one guy who they point to having some playoff experience had the toughest 1-2 minutes to close for SA.

Fox won’t be getting any clutch player of the year votes from this game. Good test for Spurs. Gotta finish these earlier.

Reese Chapman just made a run at catch of the year for @Vol_Baseball team. That was unreal!

Like that Vassell and Harper have went in looking to dunk on guys in the last 2-3 minutes.

There’s times where Wemby doesn’t even bother trying to get back into inside position on boards if he’s rotating back to the paint. It’s almost like he knows he’s so tall it won’t matter - most times he’s right. It’s unreal to watch him volleyball tap rebounds to himself.

Nuggets 0-3 vs. OKC, Shai & Jokic played in all of them. Unless Wemby has a way to neuralize the voters through the Men In Black, it is over.
