@HighlandHistory Nice, more pictures with crisp, easy to identify hillscapes please! Beinn a Chaisgein Mor, Carnmore Buttress, Ruadh Stac Mor and A'Mhaighdean from a little east of Loch Tollaidh. Remote hills from the roadside.

@theiaincameron Pfft. Suggesting drivers obey the rules or look out for more vulnerable road users is just naked engagement farming. ;) Although the engagement will be filled with wailey, wailey entitled buffoons.

I’m grateful to all the armchair experts on here who queued up earlier to tell me the Highway Code is wrong, and that drivers can’t be expected not to crash into each other when pedestrians exercise their right of way.
Iain Cameron@theiaincameron

Once again on this morning's run I found out that the level of ignorance on rule 170 (H2) of the Highway Code is widespread. Despite the HC changing in 2022, many drivers in the UK remain unaware that they should yield when pedestrians are either waiting to cross or have 1/2

What to do? See a cyclist filtering on your left and you want to turn left. Clue: don't overtake the cyclist cutting across their path as they signal right.

@TheRoadPadrone @SaferRoadsYorks If you want to interpret it that way, knock yourself out. I practice aggressively defensive cycling and considerate, careful driving. I'm aware that other cyclists and drivers do not - that increases the risk of harm. Not interested in playing tribes.

@Strobe_Lightly One of the less talked about uses of microspikes is for slippy/icy rocks on river crossings. Think we would use them for that.

@5teveArcher Yep, usually in these hysterical discussions "wilderness" is somewhere your BigMac meal will be cold by the time you park up, like Glen Etive....in this case your BigMac and fries would still be hot even if you walked.

Unpopular opinion - the campaign against this development was based upon mountains of dishonest hysterical nonsense, which is the Green Party modus operandi. "Save Loch Lomond" placards with a view from near Ben Lomond - the proposal was for Balloch! bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

The shortest river in the UK is the River Morar, on the west coast of Scotland. It is only about half-a-mile long, but quite large in terms of flow. It drains the UK's deepest, and third biggest loch by volume, Loch Morar. This loch holds a wee bit less water than Loch Lomond.

@but_cyclists She was looking at her phone, wasn´t she? But i do think in the UK even rechlessly causing bodily injury by negligence isn´t a criminal matter unless you do it with a car (where it is considered careless/inconsiderate driving).

> do something terrible with your car > claim it was "an accident" > argue that you're a hard-working driver > "the war on motorists" > get an absolutely minimal sentence for something you'd otherwise go away for years for if you did it with anything but a car

@theiaincameron 🤷‍♂️The boots off sounds rather unbelievable. Loving the hill ninja Instagram pics too - very serious looking. 😉 Anyway, for all that, what were the totals for killed and hospitalised on Vorlich last weekend? Think that's real question.

@NicholasLe81575 @stephen37292ML You can if need be. Whether they actualy do anything is another thing, you will need corroboration in Scotland so at least one other person would need to report it as well.

Twat of the day goes to the Audi A4 driver who was driving at speed like a lunatic , undertook at slip lane to rejoin the M74 in front of a lorry and car over chevrons and missing signage … this person was doing approx 90-100 as I was at 65mph
