Some day @DnDBeyond will give me the Christmas gift of allowing me to highlight my D&D books in the iOS app. That plus having pre-made encounters in the Encounter Builder for published adventures is my whole wishlist.

@BeadleAndGrimms Obviously, but if there’s an occasion to use the two then the lack of mini for the third is going to be very suspicious. So then I have to decide to either not use two of the minis at all risk a spoiler.

Oh… @BeadleAndGrimms …the minis in the Vecna box (or rather the lack of one particular mini) is a bit of a potential spoiler, don’t you think? Like “why is there a mini for those people but not that one…that’s suspicious Mr. DM”. 🤦‍♂️

@MerricB That’s why I start each session with an opening question and then award everyone inspiration at the start. I never award it any other time.

As a DM, I dislike giving out inspiration. Partly because I'm concentrating on just running the game, and partly because it often favours the "loud" players at the table.

@hankgreen Haven’t been in HS recently, but I teach instructional tech courses to future teachers and this is a tool that comes up regularly.

Also curious: If you have been in high school in the last ten years, did you use EdPuzzle?

Finished our first session of Vecna: Eve of Ruin. We had a very good time (although I've suggested changes to party composition as they lack a healer... not good for high-level 5E play). Nice moments of role-playing and combat.

@MerricB I’ve been reading through it a little. I haven’t gotten very far, but so far I’m excited for it…we’ll see what happens when I get past the introduction. ;-)

I'm apprehensive about whether Vecna: Eve of Ruin will be good or not. Can Wizards of the Coast produce an adventure for the ages?

@newbiedm I think the “4e is just tabletop WoW” outcry put a stigma on outwardly pulling things like they from games for a generation (although the influx of new players during 5e would counter that thought, I suppose).

I'm honestly surprised that it's not really something I see done a lot.

There's a lot to be said about taking MMO quests and storylines and adapting them to table top adventures.

@ehloanna I don’t know what you are looking for, but I had a whole remix idea of making the radiant citadel a deep underwater fortress in vodari and then putting a big library in it so I could also play around with the Candlekeep Mysteries adventures.

@FrankenforIowa I resemble that remark. Love the state of my birth and my alma mater…haven’t lived there since college. :-/

Iowa loses over 34% of its college graduates each year. Minnesota gains 8% more than it graduates; Illinois gains 20% more (NYTimes). Ramifications are clear.

@BDaveWalters I’ve lived in 4 states and I’ve never heard of the food listed for 3 out of the 4…and walking tacos are great. ;-)
