@SquarespaceHelp you’re not giving me any real answers. still haven’t told me why this only option. this lets me know that there is a lot of ambiguity when it comes to data collection at Squarespace, which is concerning. I’ve worked in verification so ik this is sus/ goes against best practices.

squarespace customer service is weird. why do you need me to upload bank statements before I receive any support

@danielleabeda The security of our customers' accounts throughout all levels of our platform is our top priority. As noted earlier, you can share a bank statement later if you'd like, and it's only required to verify your identity for the account recovery process - not general help requests.

@SquarespaceHelp but who has access to this system and how can I trust it’s secure? why don’t you offer customers alternatives, like email receipts and account numbers? why is providing a bank statement before receiving any support the only option? I’ve never encountered this before

why do I need to submit a selfie to recover my Squarespace password when I didn’t submit a selfie to create my account @squarespace ??? that means you’re not verifying anything. you’re just collecting my facial data and not telling me why. this is really concerning

@danielleabeda We understand your concern. We only use these images for identification purposes, and won’t share or distribute them outside our secure system. You can also redact extra information - We only need to see the name of the bank, the account holder, and the payment to Squarespace.

@SquarespaceHelp It just goes against good trust and safety practices. It’s completely unnecessary. There are industry wide standards for verification you can use that don’t require customers to send their bank statements to a stranger to live in a database that’s accessed by who knows who.

@SquarespaceHelp I cannot login to update billing info. Card expired in May and email access for my domain ended 7-6-26. I have sent multiple requests on website. It is a Google workspace account resold through Squarespace. I must regain access to that email account. Please help

My global header button on SQUARESPACE displays the button background, but no label text. This happens with newly created button and w/ different text lengths including just one character. The element resizes based on the length of the text, but the text remains invisible.

@nickgraynews @sivers Yeah, I love that favicon! It's so great. I actually made it with some early Squarespace logo design when I first made my Squarespace page, and I just love, even though I've since ditched Squarespace.

I had to create a fake profile on X to just get in touch with @squarespace because I've tried chat and email and it's been 72 hours with no reply. @squarespace - your supposedly award winning customer service is letting me down. Reply and I'll give you my actual contact.

Did you know that Square Space has created a Dante's Inferno simulator? If you register a site through @squarespace with a Google domain workspace, then try to transfer the service, they make it nearly impossible transfer and defer you to endless AI assistants to approximate the ninth layer of hell?
