I believe that Sixo, the Pathfinder Squad, Doban, Old Mustang, and to a lesser extent E.H and Crow suffer from the same problem: simplistic storytelling. Any gray or nuanced area for the villains seems to be unwanted in favor of Shonen-esque good guy/bad guy stories.

To be honest, sixo was so unbearably butchered. The set up for sixo was an unknown entity with seemingly infinite clutches on the darkest parts of the ark. Sixo creates and manufactures drug addiction to create a mindless army of disposable bodies while tarnishing the reputation
