The IFP cannot be trusted despite their slogan. They and MK are two of a kind. IFP supports unelected and undemocratic “king” and tinpot dictators so-called “traditional leaders”. Neither party is based on individual rights and a liberal constitutional democracy.

You can’t claim democracy whilst maintaining unelected so-called “king” and tinpot “traditional leaders”. They cost 100’s of millions and should be abolished not pandered to the way politicians do. They can never be justified in their present form in a constitutional democracy!

Race classification under apartheid was repealed with the end of the Population Registration Act in 1991. The Constitution of South Africa commits to non-racialism. Yet policies like Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment, the Employment Equity Act, and the Public Procurement Act, among many others, still require individuals to be classified by race. @paddiclay There was always going to be a predetermined outcome that didn’t align with reality. That is how the ANC operate. Why has the current minister allowed this draft to proceed given its apparent bias and inaccuracy?

It is foolhardy of the drafters of the new history curriculum for our schools not to have consulted or sought out Anthea Jeffery of the IRR as an advisor and expert on recent modern politics and violence in South Africa. Keeping them in ignorance of the reality of those days of 'struggle' and where strategy came from is not the way to create an intelligent population. It was the avowed Marxist Yunus Carrim who in 2008 bulldozed the disbanding thru parliament for the ANC whose MPs including Manuel and Nel voted for the disbanding. Carrim was chair of the farcical parliamentary committee that was clearly just a tickbox exercise for the ANC.

There's an alternative reality in which the Human Rights Commission lives up to the promise of being an institution that fights for the civil liberties and property rights of ordinary people against overbearing state abuse, and this ruling would be unfortunate. However, our actual reality is that the Human Rights Commission never misses an opportunity to appoint race-hustlers as officials and representatives to drive racial grievance politics on behalf of the state elite and undermine the liberty and property of the people. This ruling is a relief.
