@BillisKing Scott McKinney’s show was with Max Howell and it was called “Southern Sports Tonight”. Conference Call was completely different from what I recall.

@BillisKing Bill, Back in the early 2000’s and possibly even 1990’s there was a Southern Football nightly radio show named “Conference Call”. I want to say Timmy B & also Terry Bowden were associated with it but I may be wrong. Were you on that show in any way, even as a guest?

The first thing to come to my mind when I saw this was, “This is definitely something Phil Dunphy would say.”

@BillisKing Please ask Johnny Vegas, is this run that Alabama is on in baseball the last week and a half a flash in the pan or can Alabama keep up this pace? Still a long season ahead. It would be nice to see Alabama make a run and get to Omaha for the first time since 1999.

@BillisKing Unless something has changed since we moved 13 years ago, Ole Miss & State play Southern Miss 1 game home & home, then also play 1 game in Jackson (in Pearl @ Trustmark Park). Ole Miss & State also play a midweek non-conference in Pearl (called The Governor’s Cup).

@BillisKing Carlton Flatt had 10 State Titles and 10 Runner-Ups in 34 Years.

@BillisKing BOS to Alabama Baseball for sweeping Florida this past weekend. More importantly, BOS to Alabama Baseball pitcher Tyler Fay for pitching a no hitter all by himself in Friday night’s win, 6-0. This was the 1st Alabama no hitter by one single pitcher since 1942.

@BillisKing BOS to Bama Basketball for 2 dominating wins this weekend. Haters can hate but Nate Oats is a phenomenal coach. That said, Gutless & Nutless to the NCAA Schedulers. Bama played in Tampa last night & tipped @ 10pm/EST. The game didn’t end until past midnight. Pathetic.

@BillisKing BOS to Thatcher’s flag football team. They too played the best team in the league but got beat. The reason for the BOS is because our team was down 37-6 @ half, but they never gave up. After being down 37-6, they lost 44-42. We’ll see that team again in the playoffs.

@BillisKing BOS to our daughter’s softball team. They opened their season by beating the best team in the league from last year. In the Fall, this same team beat us 23-2. As an assistant coach on the team, I could not be more proud. Ellis went 3 for 4 and had a stellar game.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... The 2nd round NCAA tournament games were all done by the start of 60 Minutes. Now we got only two games tipping before 5:00pm ET. There has to be a happy medium somewhere.

Tom Brady is an ageless wonder. Brady turns 49 on August 3rd. I’m 100% convinced he could play in the NFL next season and be a legitimate Top 10 QB.

Just now realizing the screw job the NCAA Committee gave to the Bama-TX Tech winner. The game tips tomorrow night in Tampa at 9:45pm/Eastern. The winner likely plays Michigan in the Sweet 16. Michigan is playing right now in Buffalo and would have almost 2 days extra rest.

Perhaps the greatest community note of all time.
