Kaylee Halvorson had 3 hits and 5 RBIs to lead the Squirrels to a 33-0 victory over Sargent County Oakes on Monday night. Aspyn Prien added her second home run of the season. Whitney Mitchell, Rachel Parkhouse and Rya Zimmerman combined for the shutout. The Squirrels move to 3-0 on the season.

Aspyn Prien had two home runs and three RBIs as Central Cass shut out Grand Forks Red River 12-0. Rya Zimmerman added two hits and three RBIs. Whitney Mitchell pitched a complete game with 13 Ks.

Whitney Mitchell hits for the cycle as the Squirrels defeated West Fargo Sheyenne 12-5 in the 2026 season opener. Kira Gunufson addresses three hits and Aspyn Prien and Rya Zimmerman each had two hits.

2025 North Dakota Class B Softball All-State Team

Back on top! @Squirrel_SB wins the 2025 Class B state softball championship 4-1 over Des-Lacs Burlington/Lewis & Clark. Central Cass reclaims their crown in North Dakota, thanks in large part to Sophie Scherweit who made a great defensive play and followed it up with a home run!

The mission was completed this afternoon by @Squirrel_SB. After falling in the state title game last year, the Squirrels get some redemption with a 4-1 win over Des Lacs-Burlington. It's the seventh state softball title for Central Cass.
