Our basal curriculum has a unit titled: America home of brave. We created a PBL that acknowledges that we exist in between cultures. We are proud to be American, Mexicanos, Salvadoreños, Guatemaltecos, Hondureños, y Colombianos. We embrace the dualities of our existence.

Constructing the Statue of Liberty. Moving away from parallel play to collaboration.

The purpose of the lesson is oracy, taking turns, providing ideas and correcting each other with kind words, and lastly the words with the letter m. Academic and social skills are complementary. Academic and social development don’t have to compete for enrichment.

Outside our four walls we found movement all around.
