We finished our trip with a visit to Quito Antiguo followed by Otavalo! In Otavalo we had lunch with a local family (including Guinea pig!) and then hunted for bargains in the market. This day filled our cups in the best way ❤️ #siemprequito #mercadodeotavalo

Mitad del Mundo and Mindo ❤️❤️❤️ Standing on the equator, hiking to epic waterfalls in a cloud forest, and visiting a butterfly garden were bucket list moments for me even though I’ve traveled to Ecuador before!

Northern prides itself on preparing students to be resilient. Our group showed their resilience as we navigated 36 hours of unexpected travel - but we made it to Ecuador! Now off to the Galapagos 😎

9 years ago we did our first EF Tour when we took 12 students to Spain. Today we are doing our fifth tour and journeying to Ecuador and the Galapagos with 43 students! Qué chévere 😎

Students took ownership in this activity and they held each other accountable. It was a level 2 activity that effectively reviewed the level 1 content of ar/er/ir endings as well as stem-changing verbs in 15 minutes! @SraZ_NHS

Verb rally races in Sra. P’s class!Students circulate & conjugate verbs; they are responsible for checking & correcting the verbs that come before them. Class captains circle incorrect verbs & students race to correct them on sticky notes. Students hold each other accountable!

BREAKING: Ke Huy Quan just won an #Oscar at the Academy Awards for best supporting actor for his role in 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' "Mom, I just won an Oscar!!" For those unaware Ke Huy Quan spent a year with his family in a Hong Kong refugee camp before arriving in the United States of America in 1979. What an incredible comeback and incredible story.

Creating new words is fun! For example: Spain has delightful wide-leg pants that look like skirts. skirt = falda pants = pantalones skants = faldalones 😃 Next step is getting my word approved by the RAE 😉

Estamos an Barcelona 🥳 Our kids were troopers for our flights and our first day of touring. We walked Las Ramblas, took a siesta in el Parc de la Ciutadella, ate dinner at the top of the old bullfighting ring, and finished by dipping our toes in the Mediterranean!

Rm. 301 celebrated Día de los Muertos by building a class ofrenda! Every level contributed: Spanish I, Spanish III, and AP Spanish. It was amazing sharing this impactful holiday with my students and having them share the memories of their loved ones with me in return 💜
