the current state of roblox games is so sad first of all, like 95% of games just like NEED a brainrot aspect to survive. the shortening of attention spans and rise of this insane genre is like absolutely terrible imo. why should devs have to include this kinda stuff to stay halfway relevant. not to mention, for people that don't like brainrot/aren't caught up on brainrot are like all so excluded from these kinds of games cuz u just have no idea of what's going on. second of all, games disappear so quickly nowadays. like new games are cool and all, but like we seriously have SO few games that stick around nowadays because they're so stuck to trends and are heavily reliant on youtube to keep them afloat. i feel like we need some roblox games sticking around. games from back in like 2016 had a much higher chance of longevity because, sure they had a youtube presence, but they also had their own presence instead of being built on a trend. let me also clarify, im not tryna blame any devs for this. like im not against or attacking anybody for doing this. if i was a dev, i would probably do the same thing, because its a super simple formula that works REALLY well. it's just, as a player (and one from 2016), its really sad and overwhelming to open the website and see like half of the top games be trend hoppers or brainrot related.
