A coworker died yesterday morning😭.
HR knew by 9 :00 AM, but they kept us working all day. They finally told us around 4 :30 PM, then had the nerve to say, "You can head home early if you need to"—knowing we all finish at 5: 00 PM anyway.
This morning, it’s back to "business as usual." Some of my friends are literally sobbing at their desks, but they’re expected to work and be productive. No time to grieve.
It’s a cold reality. Within a week, the company will have his job posted online. Within a month, someone else will be sitting in his chair.
But his family ,his children will still talk about him every day, they will ask where is daddy , His wife will mourn him for ages ,he was the love of her life .
At work, we are just a "resource" that can be replaced in a week. At home, we are the world. Stop giving your best energy to a desk that will forget you, and giving the "leftovers" to the people who never will.
Deception, spying, and intrigue are just an operational means to an end -- a clear, accurate, impartial picture of a nation's standing, and how best to advance its long-term goals and stature.
A true intelligence agency should be an ally of citizens, not dreaded by them.
7 Billion for a school church? 🤔
So students can pray to a God who doesn’t mind if he is worshipped under trees. A God who wrote in his own book and said he can not live in the damn temples and doesn’t want them.
Acts 17:24,:
“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples made with human hands.”
1 Corinthians 3:16–6:19 calls the church and the individual believer “a temple of God,” with the Holy Spirit dwelling in them.
These students need more labs, more AI, more computers or atleast contribute to a fund to support exceptional students who may not be able to afford education at your school or maybe an endowement fund for Gayaza teachers to undertake advanced study and do research on new best practices for teaching high schoolers. Let your school become a centre of excellence in the education of the future, not a centre of excellence in praying.
While students from China, India and even Ghana are learning to code in S1. While they will be building data centres and being sought after by the world’s top companies, our Gen-Z Gayaza girls will be experts in the way of the cross, Hail mary full of grace and the Lord’s prayer.
@GabrielBuule once said “WE ARE STUPID” and today, I agree.
After a night in a club, I’ve realized this - as a disabled citizen in Uganda, the only people who show any consideration are the drunk; the rest don’t even clear the lowest bar.
I'm in a club/bar and more than ever I've the conviction there should be interludes in the ever blasting music, for patrons to communicate. Think about it, it's in such places where we encounter prospective mates, and the the need for communication can't be emphasized/overlooked.
