@stuffybag @totmacherx @Pirat_Nation I mean blu ray discs are an option, which i mentioned, for both games and movies. And even with movies being on streaming, there is still dvd and blu ray realeses to this day. Kpop demon hunters is getting one for example, a streaming first movie.

If I own the disc with the game on it, it should work. I dont need to own the IP for my game to work on disc, especially if data already there

@stuffybag @totmacherx @Pirat_Nation Cost changes yet we still have really solid single player experiences that dont need online, yet we push online with no ownership? I've been around since the PS1 and seen thing change more in this direction overtime.

@stuffybag @totmacherx @Pirat_Nation I mean both? We used to have a decent sized industry with large publishers not even 5 to 10 years ago that didnt need microtransaction filled online only/focused games to stay successful. Industry was growing before stuff like fortnite just saying.
