Hey, let me approach as the unexpected recipient that I am. It was a gift from folks who wanted to bring something to life. Looks like a proof of concept. I’m not yet over rewatching it and being quite amazed.

YOUNGBLOOD! The new issue is a platform release. Just like with certain films, where the movie plays in 2-3 theaters for a few weeks before it goes wide. It’s non-traditional but is 100% the way to go with this launch. The success in this approach has already happened. I won’t be reporting “orders” I’ll be reporting actual box office. I’ll share what Youngblood has earned and right now with 4 weeks to go, it’s staggering. Consider that we pulled pre-orders a few weeks back and are currently only offering the $9.99 Golden Apple variant. All money from Youngblood Is being put back Into making more Extreme comic books. I could not have had a new Youngblood comic to celebrate 33 years to the day if I had gone traditional publishing. I had to skip the line. Down the line, Youngblood will be offered mass market, fall 2025.

The late 70’s/ early 80’s was the apex mountain for super team books. Byrne/Perez Avengers Cockrum/Byrne/Smith X-Men Perez/Pollard/Byrne Fantastic Four Giffen Legion Perez Titans Byrne Alpha Flight Perez/Pattin Justice League I mean no era has come close. Team books were at an all time high during this era.
