Exciting News Today - some of our butterflies emerged from their Chrysalis.🦋Kindergarten Explorers @StAngelaWECDSB

So much has happened over the weekend. Our flowers have bloomed and our caterpillars are off to stage 3 of the butterfly cycle, shedding their skin and making their CHRYSALIS. 🥚🐛⚰️🦋 Mrs. Liolli/Mrs.Towers’ Kindergarten Explorers @StAngelaWECDSB

We incorporated science (magnetism), coding (direction) and literacy printing, “Go & Stop” in completing our mazes. 🧲🧭 Mrs.Liolli/Mrs.Towers @StAngelaWECDSB

At “Self-directed” learning time, this theatre cast found a way to share different roles to play the fairytale, “Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. 👩🏼🐻🐻🐻 Mrs. Liolli/Mrs. Towers Kindergarten Crew @StAngelaWECDSB

After researching what a “Painted Lady Butterfly” likes in it’s habitat we went out for a nature hunt to collect items for our butterflies. We are anxiously awaiting. 🦋 We also collected snails and found a “Woodpecker” busy at work. 🐌 @StAngelaWECDSB

Multicultural Week at St. Angela school - We learned about different cultures and traditions. We learned about what each country’s flag looks like, food they eat, the weather, and unique clothing people wear. 🇮🇶🇨🇦🇵🇹🇪🇸🇮🇹🇳🇬🇵🇭 Kindergarten @StAngelaWECDSB

Mr. Bontorin, Mr. Aitonean and a select group of Comets hosted STEM students from @StAngelaWECDSB , St. Christopher, @OLPHEagles and @ICSwecdsb for a fun day of coding, e-sports and robotics! Check it out @WECDSB

The kindergarten explorers are excited to witness and be part of raising butterflies. And so the life cycle begins. 🥚🐛⚰️ 🍊🍉🍃🦋 @StAngelaWECDSB

Bird activity in our kindergarten school playground. There are baby birds chirping inside the roof. The mommy and daddy have been feeding them worms. The bird here who must of fell was brought to Urban Wildlife. Taking care of God’s creations. 🙏🦅❤️ @StAngelaWECDSB

We are learning to add “Doubles” and discover patterns we see in the answer (e.g., counting by 2’s). We also tied in “Symmetry” using the ladybug magnetic dots. Mrs. Liolli/Mrs.Towers Kindergarten Mathematicians @StAngelaWECDSB
