We have enjoyed a fantastic week filled with 3 football festivals ⚽️ 🙌@ASKentsCluster

Our P1 and P5/6 learners joined their friends at @ColumbaNursery for “a tiger who came for tea” tea party to celebrate World Book Day 🐯☕️🧁

Primary 7 have been learning about natural disasters this term. We have been discussing volcanoes recently, learning about eruptions!🌋 The children created their own volcanoes and carried out a science experiment to create an eruption of their own🥼🧪. It was very exciting!

On Thursday, we had Iain from Xcite Linlithgow visit our Primary 7 children to teach them orienteering skills. The children created their own maps of the classroom and they loved trying to find their school and homes on the maps Iain brought with him!🗺️

Some P5-7 children attended a cross country championship at Hamilton Park Racecourse today🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♂️. They participated in stretches (teacher led and pupil led!) and showed amazing team encouragement and personal perseverance💪🏼. We are so proud of them all!🏆

It's Panto day for St Columba's!

First thing this morning, we were all ready to go for our full school Christmas Fayre. Every single staff member and pupil contributed and we are so proud of our efforts! Crafts, baking, s'mores, games, competitions and donkeys all featured. More photos to follow on Monday 💚.

Primary 7 had a lovely morning at Xcite Bathgate participating in a swimming assessment🏊. They learned how to do a variety of swimming strokes and learned how to do the Macarena under water!🕺🏼

Some of our Primary 7 girls have been attending dress making over the last few weeks, using a variety of materials to create their own outfits!👗 They have worked so hard and the finished products are beautiful!🥰

Our Christmas Carols and Coffee morning is underway! #festivefamilyfun

It's the last full week of Christmas Fayre prep. This year, Mr Thomson thought our hampers should be themed to match our House colours. Mrs McInnes has done a wonderful job finding the goodies for each one! ❤️💚💙💛 💛💙💚❤️

We enjoyed sitting in our dens reading our class novels, eating biscuits and drinking warm diluting juice📖🍪🥤. It was a lovely morning!

This morning primary 7 went outdoor learning and used a variety of materials to create dens🏕️. The children used their communication skills to work effectively as a team to ensure their den was practical and comfortable to sit in😃!

This incredible girl achieved “players player of the year” at her football club over the weekend⚽️. We are all so proud of you!! Keep up the hard work💪

We welcomed our families in today to share some of our enjoyment around @BookWeekScot. Pupils talked about their favourite books, presented book reviews, engaged the audience in a book character quiz, sang about books, and played Book Bingo with the audience too 📚📚📚.

Our Thursday Christmas crafts afternoons are going really well. Every pupil is involved in creating and designing goodies for our upcoming fayre. Here's a sneak peek!

Some Primary 7 children have set up a shop in the classroom🛒. They have been using their knowledge of fundraising to create class schedules and advertisements for their shop. They handmade all their items to sell and have worked on developing their understanding of money💰!

Primary 7 have been celebrating World Book Week by creating new book covers for their favourite books📖. They also learned some origami skills to create animal bookmarks to use in their personal class novels🐶🐷.

Some of our P5, P6 and P7 girls attended the girls football festival this morning in Bathgate Academy⚽️. They worked incredibly together, using their team working skills and football skills to lead us to victory🏆. We are all so proud!
