A stunning Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols last night. The Cathedral Choir was on fantastic form. Wonderful to see the cathedral looking so festive and full. Thanks to Ben Richards for the fantastic photos from the organ loft that really capture the mood perfectly.

A wonderful Palm Sunday procession this morning from the Cloister Garth around the cathedral, rounded off this afternoon by an exquisite Passiontide Devotion with music by Tallis, Britten, Lotti, Chilcott and the achingly beautiful Sanders Reproaches. @StDavidsCath

It was a pleasure to welcome Canon James Mustard, Canon Precentor of Exeter Cathedral and a trustee of Cathedral Music Trust to Evensong yesterday. We were formally presented with a grant for £18000 to assist chorister parents with travel costs. @_cathedralmusic

We are delighted to welcome Hilary Punnett, Assistant Organist and Director of the Girls’ Choir of Chelmsford Cathedral as part of our summer series at St Davids Cathedral on Wednesday 10th August at 7.30pm. Tickets are £8, under 16’s free, available at the door.

This year’s Summer Series continues with a song recital by Harry Jacques with Anne Bolt (piano), Wednesday 27th July at 7.30pm. Programme includes Bach, Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Finzi and Strauss. TIckets available on the door £8, children under 16 free.
