Today we learned about Jesus’ sacrifice and the meaning of Good Friday ✝️ We explored how it is celebrated around the world, including El Salvador where people create alfombras; beautiful carpets made from coloured materials to honour Jesus. We then created our own outside. 🌈

Today we explored Holy Week together ✨ We showed kindness by caring for each other and taking time to be calm and peaceful 🤍 We also made crosses using sticks and string to remind us of Jesus’ love ✝️🌿 #stedwardsre

In RE today we learned about The Last Supper. The children acted out the story, sharing real bread and wine (juice) just like Jesus and the disciples. We reflected on how the disciples and Jesus might have felt during this important moment in the Easter story. ✝️

In Gathering in Prayer, we listened to the story of Jesus healing the blind man. We reflected on how Jesus heals and helps people, and thought about who makes us feel better when we are sad or hurt. A special thank you to Lilia and Esme for leading our prayer so thoughtfully. 💛

Today in History we looked at the Wright brothers first flight and why it is historically significant ✈️ We acted out the first flight and how Wilbur, Orville and the eye witnesses would have felt 😲 #stedwardshistory

This week we have been exploring the word sacred and listening to the Bible story of the Transfiguration ✨📖 We gathered together in prayer, beautifully led by Aarnika and Frankie. Such a reflective and special time together. 💜🙏 #LoveServeLearn
