TAPPS Division III
📊 Week 8 Recap - Fall 2025 📊
⭐ Game of the Week
26 – Pantego Christian Academy-Arlington @PantegoPanthers
21 – Lake Country Christian School-Fort Worth @LCCSathletics
🔹 Pantego Christian stayed perfect on the season, grinding out a tough 26–21 win over Lake Country Christian to improve to 8–0. In their closest contest of the year, the Panthers leaned on playmaker Brady Reynolds @brady_18_, who caught two touchdowns, threw for another, and finished with 47 receiving yards and 52 passing yards. Running back Anthony Jackson @ant_hollyw00d added 87 yards on the ground, helping Pantego’s offense stay balanced despite facing one of its toughest defensive fronts to date. The Panthers’ defense sealed the win with three sacks as they held off a late push from Lake Country.
💥 Player of the Week
🏅 Emerson Hadnot @EmersonHadnot26
🏫 All Saints Episcopal School-Tyler @GoASESTrojans
🎧 Kyle Freeman
🔹 Senior running back Emerson Hadnot delivered a career performance in All Saints Episcopal’s dominant 49–12 rivalry win over Bishop Gorman. Hadnaugh was unstoppable, rushing for 233 yards and five touchdowns on just 18 carries, averaging an incredible 12.9 yards per attempt while adding 35 receiving yards for good measure. His explosive runs powered an All Saints offense that piled up nearly 300 rushing yards and controlled the game from start to finish. With performances like this, Hadnot has firmly established himself as one of East Texas’ premier backs — a true workhorse leading the Trojans’ charge toward the postseason.
👀 Things to Watch
🔹 It’s been a turbulent week for Holy Cross of San Antonio @HolyCrossofSAFB after TAPPS forced the Knights to forfeit four wins and losing in their first game without Head Coach Mike Harrison against First Baptist Academy. Now sitting at 1-6, Holy Cross heads into this matchup under interim leadership and heavy scrutiny, looking to prove they can still compete despite the distractions. John Paul II Catholic High School-Schertz @StJPII_FB, meanwhile, has an opportunity to capitalize on the Knights’ turmoil and earn a statement win at home. With playoff hopes still technically alive for both sides, expect a charged atmosphere in Schertz where discipline, composure, and sideline leadership could decide the outcome.
🔹 All Saints Episcopal School-Tyler @GoASESTrojans enters Friday’s matchup red-hot after three straight wins powered by senior RB Emerson Hadnot @EmersonHadnot26 233 yards and five touchdowns. The Trojans’ balanced offense has been nearly unstoppable, but McKinney Christian Academy @MCA_MUSTANGS will look to use its home-field advantage to slow the run game and keep the contest close. With a red-hot offense manned by senior QB Cody Dow @Cody_Dow2026, All Saints will need to control time of possession tto keep this one competitive.
🔹 Dallas Christian @ The Covenant School (Dallas)
Defending TAPPS Division III champion Dallas Christian School-Mesquite @DCSChargers continues to look like a powerhouse, entering Friday’s road matchup at The Covenant School of Dallas with momentum and balance on both sides of the ball. The Chargers’ physical line and deep playbook have overwhelmed most opponents this season, while Covenant will need an almost mistake-free performance to keep it competitive. Expect Dallas Christian to lean on its experienced core to control the pace, as Covenant hopes to make a statement at home and shake up the district race. With the Chargers chasing another unbeaten district slate, this one will show whether anyone in Division III can slow them down.
