@davidtrnr1 @FootballGrf Pc society well and truly seeped into grassroots football. Truth is parents get jealous that blue eye jonny is not as good as a teamate then start the gossip process - coaches gradually morph with parent for easy life. Kids dont care which trophy parents do

@FootballGrf Football is about winning and losing as well as enjoying it . It would of been easier to give a top goal scorer trophy to said lad if they had been ,Rather than a debate and a row The world has gone to pc . All trying to do the right thing ? If someone excels why hold them back

@FootballGrf Our boys take turns playing different positions - develops their all round game.. we dont have a set striker therfore when it comes to top goal scorer i could not honestly say with a few weeks of the season to go which of my boys will win that award.. our team ethic is great 👍

@FootballGrf As a young boy playing i never got upset not winning it and now a grassroots coach ive never witnessed young boys getting upset not winning it or becoming selfish by wanting to win it

@FootballGrf Respect the above views but disagree.. this award has been around since man was boy and its an award every young boy has always loved to win and personally do not think it should be taken away for the fear of upsetting others

@DarrenFitzgibbo @FootballGrf Other coach did offer us use of their keeper halfway through last quarter once they felt the game was won 😂... we politely declined 😀 i know which team/coaches/parents felt better after that match for sure
