Yesterday’s dry and windy conditions contributed to several small brush fires throughout the area. Crews responded quickly and contained each incident, preventing further spread & damage. St. Lucie County has implemented a burn ban that applies to all non-permitted burns.

Last weekend, SLCFD Cadets competed in the FFCA Annual Winter Fire Games in St. Augustine, FL, participating in firefighter drills, communication challenges, and fitness events. Special thanks to Lt. Santa, Lt. Sexton, and Chief French for their support & leadership.

Yesterday at approx 4:40 PM, SLCFD responded to a structure fire on El Greco St. Crews initiated an aggressive knockdown, contained the fire, and limited its spread. Cause is under investigation. Red Cross assisted the occupant;and several pets were safely rescued.

Crews responded to a residential structure fire in the 100 block of SE Crosspoint Dr. Units arrived in 5 minutes and found heavy smoke and fire from a single-story home. Fire was contained. 2 dogs were rescued. Red Cross is assisting 2 adults & 2 minors. Cause under investigation
