The Nursery children enjoyed our Easter Hunt, and had a lovely treat off the Easter Bunny 🐰

The children in 2M have been using the j2e data program to create pictograms. First they went on a mini beast hunt to collect data, then they used the program to create a pictogram that organised the information.

The reading council had a great time at the author event at Manchester Central Library as part of the See myself in books festival. They enjoyed learning about the diverse characters in Lisette Auton’s books and hearing about her own experiences as an author. #ReadMCR

The children in 2M are so excited to read their new books provided by @READManchester & @MancLibraries as part of the great Science Share.

A huge thank you to @Booktrust for the nursery book packs to support families with reading and the sharing of stories. Each pack contains two books, activities and games to bring the books to life and to get children interested in reading. #ReadManchester

Year 1/2S explored mammals and birds in their science learning. They explored the characteristics of the two types of animals

Year 1 and 2S enjoyed their PE lesson this week focusing on batting and hitting skills

The children in 2M have been exploring the similarities and differences between mammals and birds in their science lesson. They made animals from modelling clay and wrote labels to identify their characteristics.

Reception have had a FANTASTIC morning at the @Z_arts_mcr Alice in Wonderland workshop and exhibition! We loved looking at all of the amazing things and creating our own headbands 🐰 🎩

Spring is definitely in the air in our spring craft after school club. The children are using forks to create petals and straws as stems.

Year 3/4 have been playing TTRS to help them with their speed and accuracy #timestables #accurate

The children in 2M are exploring wheels and axles during their DT topic this half term. They have explored which shapes make the best wheels and why it is important to ensure that wheels are securely fixed to the axle.

Today it felt like spring had sprung in EYFS🌸 we used our choosing time to make dens, play games and look at some of the flowers that had bloomed in our playground!

The children in 2M are identifying and classifying animals as part of their science topic. They are grouping animals according to their characteristics by discussing which features they have in common.
