Reception are enjoying some busy learning in the sunshine. Their favourite topic this week has been shops! They have particularly enjoyed setting up an ice cream shop, designing and creating their own delightful ice creams to sell.
Year 4 are currently building torches for DT. Here we have some budding engineers at work and the first team to complete the project and meet the design criteria. Great teamwork!
Year 3 acted out some first aid scenarios in RSE. We learnt the importance of keeping calm, having quick reactions and how they can help in an emergency.
During today’s Hockey session, Year 4 used the variety of different technical skills we have worked on throughout the term and applied them to small sided games.
Reception have been using their maths skills outside this week. We have been learning how to play dominoes, used our subitising eyes during hopscotch and worked as a team to complete various piece jigsaws. We have also been estimating how far our cars will travel down the ramps.
Thank you to all the parents and carers who came to Year 5’s Easter workshop. Some children led a reverent Celebration of the Word beforehand. It has been a lovely way to end the week!
