To mark the start of the Advent season, Year 1 explored the significance of Advent wreaths during yesterday’s RE lesson. The children learned how the wreath helps us prepare our hearts for Christmas, and what each candle represents. 💜🕯️ A wonderful start to our Advent journey

Today we celebrated the beginning of Advent, a special time of preparation and hope. Our first candle, the Candle of Hope, was lit as we reflected on the light Christ brings into the world. It was wonderful to see our pupils taking part so reverently in the mass. #Advent #Hope

Today, as part of our Black History Month celebrations, we welcomed the amazing Marsha a true warrior/role model. Marsha shared her story of living with sickle cell, being on Britain’s Got Talent with the B Positive Choir and performing ‘Rise Up’ for the Royal family.#inspiration

St. Jude’s Class had an amazing time exploring our local area as part of our Marvellous Medway topic! The children loved spotting landmarks and features that make their community so special. To make the day even brighter, a kind shopkeeper surprised us with a big bag of bananas❤️

As part of Black History Month, Year 1 had a wonderful time learning about the inspirational poet Benjamin Zephaniah. The children discovered some fascinating facts about his life and work before teaming up in small groups to recite and perform one of his poems. #BlackHistory

Thank you to Jo Holdaway for hosting our first parent coffee morning of the year. Today we recognised Dyslexia Awareness Week with parents and carers in person and via teams by learning about the difficulties and strengths of individuals with dyslexia.

This week, our Year 6 children have been getting hands-on with their science learning. They’ve had the incredible opportunity to cut, dissect, and identify the different parts of a real heart! It’s been a fascinating experience.

Today we gathered as a school community to celebrate our Harvest Mass, reflecting on the theme “Seeds of Love, Fruits of Compassion.''. A heartfelt thank you to Year 3 for leading our Mass with such joy, reminding us that small seeds of kindness can grow into lasting change.

🌍✨ Cultural Day Fun in Year 2! ✨🌍 As part of our St Michael Cultural Day, Year 2 had so much fun learning dances from around the world! 💃🕺 They loved exploring different rhythms, movements, and traditions — celebrating the beauty of our diverse cultures together. ❤️🌎

Reading Cafe was back this morning! It was lovely to welcome a few familiar faces and some new ones as well. We all enjoyed hearing about the first hippocampus that went to the moon. Reading Cafe will be back on Tuesday 14th October 2025, with a special guest storyteller.

The children in St Matthew’s Class were deeply inspired during our beautiful church service for the Feast of St Michael. They listened attentively as the older children shared heartfelt prayers they had written and read in church. #learningfromeachother #rolemodels #prayerlife

Today, we gathered at Aylesford Priory for the KCSP Trust Mass — a truly special occasion where schools, both primary and secondary, came together as one Catholic family in faith and celebration. It was a wonderful reminder of the unity and joy we share as a Trust.

Our Prayer Leaders, together with pupils and staff from other Catholic schools, gathered at St George’s Cathedral to celebrate the Beginning of the Year Mass. It was a truly meaningful occasion to unite in worship and mark the start of this new academic year with faith and joy.
