Redoing the North Aisle isn't a big job. It'll cost around £1000 to turn it into a comfortable community space with chairs people actually want to sit on, storage, a table that isn't an old desk - but that's just not in our budget this year. So we're doing a little fundraiser...

Many of you who've visited will have noticed that though the north aisle is our community space, with the kitchen, toilet, and library, it's a bit grotty. We're hoping to do up the space, making it somewhere more comfortable, where people want to be. But we need your help...

This is a great way to engage more deeply with what is happening when you come to church. We'd love to see you there!

Bishop Christopher (former Bishop of Northern Malawi and Assistant Bishop of Leicester) will preside at the service, and instead of a sermon Rev Rob will give a series of short reflections throughout, explaining what is happening, and why.

We know many of our community come from different traditions and experiences, as well as being new to faith, so on Sunday the 19th and 26th of January our weekly 18:30 Eucharist will be a 'Teaching Eucharist'. What is a Teaching Eucharist? Find out more in the next tweet 👇

We know that the start of a journey of faith is a precious and fragile thing, and we want you to know that you're welcome among us, exactly as you are. At this church, and in these classes, there is no need to minimise or hide any part of who God created you to be.

In order to give our volunteers a rest St Nicholas Church is NOT open today, but we will be holding a service at 18:30 tomorrow as usual.

The beer has arrived! Join is the Saturday for our Beer & Carols event! Alcoholic and non alcoholic craft beers are available to purchase, as well as soft drinks - and all money goes to support the church - which is a great excuse to get another round in!

We're decorating the church today, ready for our Candlelit Carol Service at 6:30pm tomorrow. Drop by between 2 and 4 today to help us put up the tree and eat a large amount of Christmas biscuits! There will also be a service of evening prayer at 3:45 for those who wish to join.

Our annual Candlelight Carol Service is just a week away! Come and enjoy an evening of choral music by the light of over 100 candles in Leicester's oldest church! The event is free to attend and all are welcome - see you there?

All are welcome to attend this service - there will be a Eucharist, as well as prayer stations and blessings available, and refreshments afterwards. Jesus says: ‘Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.’

This year our guest preacher is Dr Nicolete Burbach, Social and Environmental Justice Lead at the London Jesuit Centre, and author of the book ‘Trans Life and the Catholic Church Today'. Our guest choir is the choir of All Saints with Holy Trinity, Loughborough.

This Sunday is our annual service marking Transgender Day of Remembrance, when we remember all transgender, intersex, and gender diverse people who have died. The service begins at 18:30, and the church will be open from 18:00
