What a lovely afternoon we had with our families! We shared the story “The Colour Monster - Feelings Doctor” and made very special “tool kits” full of ideas to help us regulate our emotions. Thank you to everyone who came! More pictures will go on Tapestry. @st_patricks

Reception had a wonderful time at the fairy-tale ball on Friday! We acted out stories, danced and had a mystery guest and a banquet! Lots more pictures will be going onto Tapestry. @st_patricks

Yesterday was a magical Monday! Reception made mixtures, potions and magic wands! @st_patricks

We found a mystery object on Paddy’s Park yesterday! We investigated very carefully. What do you think it could be? Our ideas included a monster’s tail, a pine cone tree, or part of a dragon’s wing… @st_patricks

Reception showed great teamwork and creativity making models from things we could have thrown away yesterday! We also talked about the importance of recycling. @st_patricks

We were so excited to receive a parcel from the three bears today! They sent us the ingredients to make porridge ourselves and it tasted just right! @st_patricks @stpatsreaders

Reception loved having the guinea pigs Bill and Ted in school yesterday. Everyone was calm and careful around the hutch. The guinea pigs enjoyed cuddles, stories and tasty treats! Well done Reception for being so caring. @st_patricks @stpatsreaders

We enjoyed a walk around our lovely school grounds looking for early signs of autumn and found some beautiful leaves in the forest area. @st_patricks

Reception enjoyed writing cards from Goldilocks to say sorry to the three bears. Mr McKenna found us the address on his computer and we have put them in an envelope ready to post. I wonder whether they will reply….? @st_patricks @stpatsreaders

We have LOVED hunting for conkers on Paddy’s Park this week! We described, arranged and counted them. I wonder if anyone will go on a conker hunt with their family this weekend? @st_patricks

Reception had a great time on Liverpool Maths Party day! We dressed up, had a three bears snack, did puppet shows of the three bears story and enjoyed a really funny counting book from home! @st_patricks

Reception have loved learning the story of “Jack and the Beanstalk” and re-telling it using pictures to remind us what happens next. They have all brought one home to tell you the story, but this is just for fun and they can keep them at home. @st_patricks @stpatsreading
