I love when college students promote a piece of legislation- especially when they’re from our Far Rockaway community. These future leaders told me about the need for birth control access on college campuses & they have my full support. They are the minds that will lead tomorrow!

Our community is surrounded by Jamaica Bay and taking care of it has always been my priority. Thank you to Teri and @JBRPC for giving me an update on the use of State funding and how they’re working to keep the “Jewel of NYC” safe and clean!

A busy committee day: from passing pro-Veteran legislation, to Chairing the Committee on Governmental Employees where we voted to help our law enforcement officers obtain lung and heart disease protections. Work doesn’t stop in Albany!

A perfect day for the first and BEST St. Pat's parade in the City! From the early morning to the wee hours of the evening, it was a great day to celebrate Irish heritage throughout our community! Slainte!!

It’s one of my favorite days of the year - the Rockaway St. Patrick’s Day Parade!! It was an honor to be awarded the “Failte Award” by Mike Benn as we celebrate the 51st year of the parade and start the fun off with breakfast at the Knights of Columbus.

You can now call me Chief Pheffer Amato! Wonderful to be with friends at the Broad Channel Vollies installation dinner - and the incredible surprise of being named Honorary Chief. I’m proud to have secured $2.5 million over the years to get our community the firehouse it deserves

Great meeting with CWA Local 1182 who work as heroic traffic enforcement officers within the NYPD. No one should be assaulted when at work, especially when they wear a badge or uniform, which is why I’m working to pass A.6588 which will codify the legal protections they deserve

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the 6 million Jews and the millions of other souls that were murdered by the Nazis. Is it our responsibility to never let hate go unchecked, and most importantly that we never forget.

Ha, that’s funny! Delgado talks about leadership but has NEVER shown any or done his actual job! Just proposing empty solutions to the issues NY is facing. @KathyHochul has actually introduced legislation, made them happen, and gotten results for our State. That’s leadership!

Happy first day of session! On my last “first” day, it’s hard to not reminisce over all we’ve achieved since my first “first” day in 2017. Though these will be my final months in Albany, there’s still much to accomplish for our State’s workforce and the 23rd district!

Bills, Bills, Bills became Laws, Laws, Laws this year with 13 of my bills signed into law! As your Assemblywoman I will continue to advocate for important legislation for public safety, Veteran & senior benefits, education, & our public employees & their families throughout NYS!!

We know the men & women in the @FDNY are the best which is why I worked with @UFANYC @UFOA854 & passed A.5861 so they know that NYS values their dedication! Through my legislation we are giving these heroes & their families the strongest option for a career & a secured retirement

Our Veterans stood up & fought for our freedoms - thats why I passed A.74. It is through my legislation that NYS makes it clear that we recognize their incredible sacrifice by providing a tax exemption for Veterans with a 100% service connected disability!

The police do good work & we want the best of the best out there protecting our communities! Thanks to the partnership with @NYSheriffs we’re ensuring that applicants who fail the psychological examination or lack “good moral character” are removed from consideration.

The spouses of our fallen police officers deserve our full support, while also being able to maintain the financial benefits they’re entitled to. With A.7949 we enact tier parity, while also demonstrating the compassion and support for law enforcement that shapes New York.
