I spent $40 on doughnuts this morning for coworkers’ birthdays. 15 years ago, I was crying because I couldn’t afford $5 for parking. I thank God for the strength to get to where I am today.

Today, I went to the gym for the first time in weeks & also ate a box of mac and cheese for the first time in years. The boxes are mad small these days. So it counts as portion control. Blame inflation.

I'm gonna ask a question but I need y'all to be HONEST. Doesn't matter how insignificant or silly it may seem. What makes you feel fancy? I'll start: When all my bills are paid, I have new pajamas to put on and my nails are done, my food is finished, and I'm about to watch something I've been waiting to see and all my work is done plus I can feel my skin is deeply moisturized. I feel very fancy in that moment.

I woke up in time to get to the gym early. I decided to go back to sleep. In my dream, I got my car towed. How are my dreams punishing me for not going to the gym!?

I adore when my friends share their good news with me. I’ve personally not been doing great lately, but that has never stopped me from being happy for my friends in the process

My friend is a whole chef in NYC. I cooked 2 meals in my non-central air having, 6th floor apt talking about I understand what being a chef is like. I get on my own nerves sometimes.
