I tried reaching out to a friend today to wish her a Happy Easter, only to realize she has blocked me everywhere. This same friend has been going through it in her marriage. Her husband beats her. The last incident, was about two months ago. She called me to come over because she needed someone to talk to. When I got there, I saw injuries all over her body. I asked what happened, but she still tried to cover up for him. I said, “Let’s go to the hospital.” She refused. I told her my truth, “If he wants to kill you here, you need to leave.” She got so angry with that statement and asked me to leave her house. I was upset too and told her not to call me again if she didn’t want help. Now today, I find out she has blocked me everywhere. The question is, how did I offend her? How do people stay in toxic relationships?
