Monster sales tend to change perception before they change markets. A monster sale does not instantly raise the value of every card in the category but it absolutely raises the stakes of interpretation for every collector in that category.

Most collectors think they’re consolidating. But if the incoming card is not more essential than the outgoing cards combined then you’re probably escalating. Escalating means the collection got more expensive. Not more true. #TheHobby

The only place you’ll get the full story of Ryan’s legendary win of the Randy Orton WrestleMania Patch Auto 1/1 is here on the Booked to Last Podcast on the Stacking Slabs Network. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sta…

A 2022 Prizm Jey Uso Black 1/1 sold for $3,000. Kevin from @NewYorkRoadshow fills in for @SCUncensored. Ryan and Kevin think that number is going to look very different in a few years. First-year WWE Prizm matters. Especially when the wrestler becomes a main event player.

Huge announcement for @RbiCru7 with all the insanity around all the auctions and sales going down. So happy that Ryan was able to secure the card and add it to his PC. Tune in this weekend on Booked to Last with the full rundown of how it all played out! Congrats to all involved!

A few months ago, @RandyOrton signed this WrestleMania Patch Auto inside @RbiCru7 during @Topps Rip Night. Ryan watched it happen. Ryan collects The Viper. Today, Ryan shares a big update. Full story on the Booked to Last podcast on the Stacking Slabs Network tomorrow. 🐍

Trust is the hidden infrastructure of the hobby. Without it, grading companies, marketplaces, and vaults all lose value. That’s why @beckettcollect’s relaunch this week matters. Not because of a logo. Because collectors are paying attention to whether the trust is returning.

The more a collector needs the room, the less likely he or she is to build taste altogether. Independent taste is not isolation either. It’s disciplined authorship. #TheHobby

Moments matter. “Story Finished” — WrestleMania 40 @CodyRhodes ends the 1,316 day streak of The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. Happy to add this one to the collection.

@KBowen1070 Kevin, I’ve spent an absurd amount of time in my lifetime studying, analyzing, and perhaps over analyzing Colts drafts picks. Few have made me feel the warm fuzzies inside like Jalen Farmer. If this kid isn’t good I’m willing to eat my Carson Werntz Colts jersey on stream.

There are really no set definitions — but here are the most commonly accepted distinctions by the overall sports card hobby: • Modern Cards are generally from the 1980s to present. • Junk Wax Era are generally from 1986 to 1995ish. • Ultra Modern Cards are generally from 2017 to present. Most wrestling cards seem to fit into one of these three distinctions. However most all of them still fall under modern.

Exciting day for wrestling cards. For context, the $42k Randy Orton WrestleMania Patch Auto moves into second place for all-time modern wrestling card sales. Congrats to the owner, seller, @collecthoodys. Data via @CardLadder

@StackingSlabs @collecthoodys @CardLadder 2013 Upper Deck PMG Hogan is pretty modern, $41k sell in 2025. 4 days left, on one on Heritage. An currently at $10.5k. Some are expecting big numbers on this one. Is this card not classified as Modern? I mean, the Orton card is still number 2, just find this list to be off.
