The problem with Rupert’s stock answer on the Iran War is he uses Britain’s military weakness as a bit of a cop out as to why we can’t help the US. Which suggests that if we were stronger he’d think it was a good idea to join the war. Which I’m afraid is simply the wrong answer.

I would argue, if there was every a war worth dying for its this one, they need to knock out this extractive business model these old and disgusting organisations run and give the American system a fair go as the Promethean Action ladies go on about.
