However, for the failed samples, some can be explained by heating of the bones as our FTIR analysis revealed. #ESHE2024

We can identify bone in micromorphology blocks to taxa using ZooMS! Great presentation by Larissa Bartsch. For the UP site Satsurblia Cave we had a success rate of 77% and can now add a taxa dimension to microcontexts such as coprolites, dumped features or hearths
