It's not for the BBC or Bafta to make apologies on behalf of someone with a disability. I'm actually disappointed that they have done so.

The BBC/Baftas are most at fault here for not safeguarding people from harm and now it’s blown up to John getting a lot of hate when it didn’t need to get to this point at all.
