Being different people who help us is lots of fun in #StainesPrepReception. The children loved extinguishing fires 🔥 🧯🚒, building structures 🧱and excavating 👷‍♀️👷 in outdoor learning.

#StainesPrepReception have enjoyed learning about Chinese New Year. They have immersed themselves in role play at our Chinese restaurant 🥢, learnt about dragon dancing 🐲, formed Chinese numerals and used their creative skills to make fantastic artwork. #StainesPrepBeYourBest

Pupils in #StainesPrepReception love Computing lessons. They have used iPads to take and edit selfies by adding filters, and practised their mouse skills through creating art in the Computing suite #EarlyYears #StainesPrepBeYourBest 🖥📱

#StainesPrepReception loved baking Christmas biscuits in our wonderful home economics room. The pupils took turns to stir the mixture and enjoyed cutting the biscuits and their centre shapes which were filled with boiled sweets before baking. 🎄 ⭐️

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in #StainesPrepReception. Santa's workshop has arrived and the pupils have had a wonderful time designing and building toys, and wrapping gifts for all the boys and girls. #EarlyYears

#StainesPrepReception had a fabulous time outside today, after a very rainy morning. They loved using their gross motor skills to run and jump in puddles, and used wonderful vocabulary to chat about what they were doing. ☔️ #EarlyYears

Pupils in #StainesPrepReception have begun to think about #RemembranceDay and how the soldiers help us. They used collage materials to create their own poppies ready to wear at our school remembrance service on Friday. #StainesPrepWay #StainesPrepRespect

#StainesPrepReception have been learning about Guy Fawkes and bonfire night this week. They have been using lots of creative skills; learning and performing firework poems and making firework pictures #EarlyYears #StainesPrepArt 🎆🎇

#StainesPrepReception enjoyed a listening walk at school last week. By quietly walking around the school, they heard many environmental sounds such as; planes, cars, diggers, fans, birds and teachers! Pupils wrote phonemes to represent what they could hear #EarlyYears 👂😀.

Our Curiosity Cube inspired some wonderful learning in #CommunicationAndLanguage in #StainesPrepReception this week. The pupils were excited to talk about what they could see and developed brilliant narratives for the ocean creatures 🐠🐋 #EarlyYears #StainesPrepBeYourBest

#StainesPrepReception had a splendid day out at @RHSWisley. They explored the gardens looking for signs of Autumn and took part in a Fantastic Foods workshop, before using their senses exploring the world food garden. #StainesPrepBeYourBest

#StainesPrepReception have been having a SENSational time exploring their sense of taste in #StainesPrepEnglish lessons. They tried lots of fruits and vegetables and used adjectives to describe all of the wonderful different tastes and textures. #CommunicationAndLanguage

#StainesPrepReception have been learning about how the festival of #Diwali is celebrated. The pupils then used modelling clay to create their very own diwa lamps. They are looking forward to decorating them when the clay is dry. #StainesPrepRespect 🪔
