@N_Squillari Totally agree. Last night, Jumbo caught the others sleeping and executed a plan. They were strong no doubt, but it falls more on the other teams not being prepared. Those other moments were total domination.

should add, this is the Mapei sweep in the hardest of the cobbled Classics (Gewiss was at Fleche). Yesterday was simply one team riding position & making the race, everyone else not. Not remotely close to the same thing (except in the result at the line)

Anyone genuinely comparing riding away 5km from the finish on a 1.1km 7% berg to going 1,2,3 at the hardest cobbled Classic actually has brain worms.

@mwkeenan @JumboVismaRoad Definitely, but Jumbo rode that stage to perfection. So calculated and caught them out with a masterclass of paying attention and ever stage counts, even when you think it’s destined for a reduced bunch kick. Did their homework and executed to perfection. Great to watch. 😁
