@globaltimesnews What the fuck are you even talking about. Taiwan beats the PRC police state in every imaginable metric. Clowntards 🤡 🇨🇳 💩

#Opinion: What #Taiwan society truly needs is a holistic awareness of the CPC's governance capability. Only by understanding the #CPC first can one truly understand the #Chinese mainland; and only by understanding the mainland can one see clearly where the future trajectory of cross-Straits relations lies. globaltimes.cn/page/202607/13…

A decade ago, Taiwan's economy was highly reliant on China.
Today Taiwan invests almost nothing in China and is projected to clock economic growth of 10% this year vs China's 4.3%.
Taiwan has shown that it is possible to pivot away from China and thrive.

#Opinion: As #China’s efforts across various fields become routine, the new reality in the #Taiwan Straits has become unmistakably clear: The region is not a “gray zone” where anyone can come and go as they please.

Farewell Urumqi! I fly out in a few hours. It’s going to be a hellish day of travel between an early morning flight to Wuhan then a transfer to Taipei. BUT that’s the way it has to be since the Taiwanese govt won’t allow it direct flight!
I’ve been called a « handmaiden to genocide » for daring to come to Xinjiang and boosting the local economy. Well, let me double-dog dare you: come to Xinjiang yourself and if you find the genocide, I’ll happily pay for your trip. Maybe hire an RV like @RnaudBertrand. Toot around. Take as much footage as you like…goodness knows all the other tourists do.
Today we heard the news from Pew that China’s reputation is on the way up while America’s is taking a bath. It’s almost like when you push a filter too far and it breaks. There’s been a powerful filter on the news around China but it’s breaking. This is not to say everything in China is perfect. But it’s a far cry than the dystopian hellhole we’ve been told it is.
My trip highlights:
* FRUIT! I ate so much fruit from the sweetest figs to musk melons, watermelons, plums, apricots, grapes, cherries. You must come to Xinjiang to fruitmaxx!
* Lavender village was my favorite and I wish I could stay there all week.
* incredible friends along the way🥰❤️

The Taiwan region and the #US have reportedly agreed to jointly produce an attack drone known as the Chien Feng I (Mighty Hornet I), according to reports by Taiwan-based media outlets including Taipei Times. A mainland military expert said the US is pursuing a "node strategy" aimed at building an intelligence-gathering network around China. The expert said such network would not pose a substantive threat to the People's Liberation Army (PLA), but would instead push the #Taiwan region closer to the front line, with ordinary people on the island ultimately bearing the consequences. globaltimes.cn/page/202607/13…

During a routine vacation in June 2026, two Taiwanese police officers were seized from their bed-and-breakfast by Chinese national security agents and forced into isolated interrogation.
According to the Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council, the agents thoroughly searched the officers' phones and demanded sensitive data on Taiwan's critical infrastructure, including facility lists and organizational security structures.
The officers were pressured to stay silent, but they courageously reported the incident upon returning home. This prompted MAC spokesperson Liang Wen-chieh to issue a strong warning, urging sensitive government departments to strictly restrict all non-official travel to China.
This is not an isolated case. Just last week, ten more Taiwanese citizens vanished or were detained in China, highlighting a systematic campaign by the Chinese Communist Party to target ordinary travelers, judges, and law enforcement to extract state secrets.

UnveiledChina@Unveiled_ChinaX
In just one week (early July 2026), 10 Taiwanese citizens vanished in China, yet Beijing’s Taiwan Affairs spokesperson Zhu Fenglian continues urging tourists to visit for a “super worthwhile” trip. While the CCP promises you’ll “return safely,” Taiwan’s Mainland Affairs Council reports 385 Taiwanese nationals have been detained, interrogated, or lost contact since the start of 2024. This is the daily reality of the CCP’s security apparatus. Smiling tourism slogans on one side, secret detentions on the other. Taiwan is warning its people. The world needs to wake up.

More than 11.7 million visits by Taiwan people to the mainland have been recorded since 2024, which indicate that Taiwan residents can travel safely as long as they do not break the law, Zhu Fenglian, a spokesperson for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, said on Wednesday. Zhu made the remarks in response to Taiwan regional leader Lai Ching-te’s claims that 374 Taiwan people have reportedly gone missing, been detained for questioning, or faced restrictions on their freedom after traveling to Chinese mainland since 2024.
